Definitions
Website – www.tidecompetitions.co.uk
Entrant – Any person (excluding limited company, partnership, sole trader, or limited liability partnership).
Promoter – TIDECOMPETITIONS (Company Number – 13476213) are the sole promoter. TIDE COMPETITIONS are not sponsored by Facebook or Google.
Winner – The entrant chosen at random on or after the closing date of the respective competition who will receive the prize in accordance with the respective competition and these terms and conditions
Alternate Winner – The entrant chosen at random on or after the closing date of the respective competition who will receive the prize in accordance with the respective competition and these terms and conditions if the winner of the respective competition cannot be contacted within 21 days of the respective competition draw date.
Prize – Multiple competitions may run at any one time, each competition will have a specific prize.
Closing Date – The date in which each individual competition will close, and no further entries will be accepted by the Promoter
Social media – Any platform Tide Competitions Limited may use for business promotion, including, but not limited to; Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
Terms and Conditions
General
By entering any TIDE COMPETITONS LIMITED competition, all Entrants are confirming to have fully read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions and agrees to be bound by them.
Prior to entering any TIDE COMPETITONS LIMITED competition the Entrant must submit all contact details required within account information (minimum requirements – UK address, active UK phone number and email address) this information will be used for the following purposes.
- To notify the winner that they have won the respective prize.
- To comply with the privacy policy.
- To post the entrant log for all active entries into each respective competitions on our Facebook page and website, only the entrants name and entry number will be posted.
All entrants are solely and completely responsible for providing the Promoter with accurate and up to date contact details as specified within these Terms and Conditions.
The promoter will make all reasonable efforts to make contact with each Winner, the promoter will not be responsible or liable for the inability to make contact with any Entrant due to errors, inaccuracies or incomplete contact details provided by the Entrant.
The Website may contain hyperlinks to websites operated by parties other than us. Such hyperlinks are provided for your reference and convenience only. We do not control such websites and are not responsible for their content and/or the privacy or other practices of such websites.
The Promoter shall not be responsible for any loss suffered or sustained to any person or property as a result of an act or omission of the Promoters. The Promoter accepts no liability for errors or omissions contained within the prize details, description or specification or any other part of the website. It is the responsibility of the entrant to satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of such information.
Account
Your password and log in details are personal to you and should not be given to anyone else and/or used to provide shared access.
You must always keep your account password secure and secret and take steps to prevent it being used without your permission.
You must contact the Promoter immediately if you believe, suspect or know that anyone apart from you has used your account and/or given any instruction in relation to it without your permission.
The Promoter shall not be responsible or liable for any or all consequences arising out of or relating to any or all breaches.
Furthermore, the Promoter shall not in any event be responsible or liable for any actions or inactions that you may take or consequences that you may suffer or incur as a result of using or in connection with the Website.
If you forget your password, you can reset it by following the instructions on the Website.
Entrant
The Competition is open for entry to all persons aged 16 or over excluding the Promoter, their immediate family, employees or advisers of the Competitions in any way, shape or form.
The maximum number of entries that can be made by any one Entrant per draw is limited for each respective competition, as described within the respective competition description.
Availability and pricing of the competition is subject to the Promoter’s discretion. Ticket price will be made clear on launch of a competition and the Promoter reserves the right to offer/withdraw discounted prices at any time.
In the event that you participate in a Competition online via the Website, and by accepting these terms and conditions you confirm that you are not breaching any laws in your country of residence regarding the legality of entering our Competitions. The Promoter will not be held responsible for any Entrant entering any of our Competitions unlawfully. If in any doubt you should immediately leave the Website and check with the relevant authorities in your country.
By entering the competition, the Entrant is agreeing to their photograph, name and town of residence being displayed on the Promoter’s Website and/or social media pages if they are a winner. This may include photographs and videos that will be used as promotional material on the Website and social media pages.
Entrants authorize the Promoter to enter their personal details into their database and to use the information in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 and subject to the terms of Privacy Policy.
Funds held in the Entrant’s digital wallet are non-refundable and can only be spent on the purchase of Competition entries via the Promoter’s Website.
Competitions are governed by English Law and any matters relating to the Competition will be resolved under English Law and the Courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
By entering into the Competition, all Entrants acknowledge that their payment per entry does not guarantee in any way that they will win the prize.
All entries will become the property of the Promoter and will not be returned or refunded for any reason, except in the case the Promoter cancels the draw.
By providing their personal information, entrants are authorizing the Promoter to store such details in their database and use the information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. Entrants who do not wish to have their data stored or be contacted by the Promoter may choose to do so, however will be withdrawn from any competition as the Promoter will be unable to contact you in the event of being a winner. Refunds for competitions entered cannot be provided in this instance.
The Promoter shall not be responsible for any loss suffered by the entrant due to incomplete entries, failed communication, computer or system malfunction using the website. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for entries not received due to high internet traffic, computer system failure, hardware or software problems, or any other technical errors.
The Promoter may refuse to accept entries that are: entered by a entrant who engages in any form of fraudulent activity, including hacking; generated by computer; incomplete or made from an incomplete account.
Winner
The Winner (winning Entrant) will be selected at random using Google random number generator during the live draw on Facebook and/or YouTube. The Winners full details will be confirmed and issued once the draw has been concluded.
The Winner(s) agrees to allow the Promoter to display his or her name on the Website in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
There will only be one winner per competition unless otherwise stated in each respective competition
Alternative Winner
If the Winner cannot be contacted by the Promoter within 14 days of being notified of their status as the Winner by e-mail, telephone and mail to the contact details submitted in their entry, the Promoter shall be entitled to award the Prize to the Entrant selected by drawing another winning entry at random in the same method.
The Alternate Winner shall have 14 days from notification of their status by the Promoter to communicate their acceptance of the Prize.
The Prize
The Promoter make no representation or warranty as to the Valuation or the Prize, its structural or cosmetic condition or its ability to be sold. Entrants should make and rely on their own enquiries and legal advice about the Prize before entering the Competition.
The Promoter does not in any way guarantee the value of the Prize.
Prizes are subject to availability. The Promoter will endeavor to offer the prize entered for but reserves the right to substitute with a prize of equal or greater value. In such case, entrants will be notified of the change as soon as reasonably possible.
The Promoter does not in any way guarantee or take responsibility for the Prize once delivery has taken place.
The Promoter does not insure the Prize in any form once delivery has taken place.
No cash alternative will be offered to the Winner unless otherwise stated prior to the draw ending.
The prize the entrant has entered for will be offered regardless of the number of entries sold.
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the competition at any time. In such case, entrants will be refunded any entry fees paid in full.
The Draw
The prize winner will be selected at random using either a random ball machine or random number generator and this will be done live on the Promoter’s Facebook and/or YouTube Page. The time and date of the draw will be advertised on the Promoter’s website and Facebook Page in advance and within 72 hours of the competition closing. There will be only one winner per competition unless otherwise specified.
Closing Date
The competition will close once the maximum amount of entries for the respective competition has been reached.
The Promoter reserves the right to extend the competition, should an extension take place the new draw date will be posted on the website and Facebook pages.
Alternative Prize
Should the competition not reach the maximum amount of entries following the closing date extension as explained above the Promoter may offer a cash equivalent prize equal to 70% of the total entries minus reasonable costs.
Delivery/Collection
The Winner will be required to show proof of identification on delivery/collection of each respective prize. Only Government issued identification is acceptable (Passport/Driving Licence).
The prize will be delivered by the Promoter either in person or via courier/delivery service. Charges may apply for additional delivery attempts.
The Promoter is not responsible for any lost prizes or prizes broken in transit when delivered via courier/delivery service.
Prize Storage
The promoter will store the prize free of charge for 30 days following winner notification. All storage costs following shall be at the entire cost of the Winner. Such cost will need to be paid in full by the winner to the Promoter before the respective prize is released to the Winner.
Free Entry Method
All competitions can be entered using the free entry route as details below.
To enter any competition using the free entry route the Entrant must first create a free account at www.tidecompetitions.co.uk. If they do not have an active account, once active the Entrant shall then send a postcard stating in full: the competition you wish to enter; full name; current address; contact details including email and mobile phone number.
Incomplete entries will not be processed.
On receipt of the completed postcard a discount code will be emailed to the supplied email address enabling the Entrant to enter the chosen competitions via the website for free.
The code will allow one free entry while the competitions remain active.
Only one entry per postcard. Post received with multiple entries will be processed as one entry.

All postal entries shall be processed the same as our paid entries.
The free entries post shall be received each Monday and processed accordingly, all postal entries received after the closing date shall not be entered into the competition or draw.
Postal entries received after all entries to a competition have been sold will not be entered into the competition. The Promoter accepts no liability for any loss incurred for such entries.
